FISHING DERBIES
Every year CPA sponsors fishing derbies for kids.
Salida's is always July 4th at Frantz Lake.
Buena Vista's is always the Saturday before Labor Day at the Town Lake.
The DOW stocks the lakes and volunteers record the catches and serve a picnic lunch afterwards. Kids learn about fishing regs and releasing fish, get prizes and t-shirts, and have a great time with their families. FREE to all! Bring your own gear or we'll have some extras.
